HERE ARE SOME OF THE WORKS CREATED DURING KINO GUARIMBA FROM 2018 TO TODAY:
Since 2018, Kino Guarimba has been transforming Amantea into an open-air film set: an international residency where directors, screenwriters, actors, musicians, and technicians from all over the world come together to create short films in a short time, with limited resources but great creative freedom.
Over the years, more than 500 international filmmakers have produced over 300 works, creating a living archive of stories, experiments, and unique collaborations. Here, conventional narratives can emerge alongside musicals, experimental documentaries, comedies, visual essays, and many other forms that explore the richness of the audiovisual language.
This section presents a selection of the most significant works created during the different editions of Kino Guarimba: short films that stand out for their originality, artistic quality, and ability to portray Amantea and its communities through the eyes of filmmakers from all over the world.
A journey through images and visions that demonstrates how cinema, when collective and free, can transform a territory and leave lasting traces.
