CINEMAMBULANTE<\/strong> is a multicultural and multidimensional project whose main goal is to offer a cinema program that is accessible to all, as well as a Kino which is a cinema residency for the inhabitants of Amantea, in order to make culture a tool of integration.<\/p>\n

During this third edition, we wanted to create a bridge between Calabria and the different forms of culture that are located on our territory and that have decided to live with us, from the oldest to the most recent. For this reason, not only have we brought the cinema to the people and the people to the cinema but we also wanted to create opportunities for meetings, moments of sharing, that have allowed us to deepen our project.<\/p>\n

The initiative for this project is part of MigrArti<\/strong>, support promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Property and Activities and Tourism.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The third edition took place in the four Calabrian provinces, from June 12 to 21, 2018.<\/p>\n

THE STEPS OF CINEMAMBULANTE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”584″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” title=”WEDNESDAY JUNE 13 \u2013 CINE TEATRO METROPOLITANO DLF, REGGIO CALABRIA (RC)”][vc_column_text]\n

In collaboration with the ARCI of Reggio Calabria, we have organized the screening of the film A CIAMBRA<\/strong> by Jonas Carpignano<\/strong> and send a clear message: OPEN THE DOORS<\/strong>. After a very early departure from Amantea, a little mishap happened to us: Asmara\u2019s car engine gave up. The tow truck drove us off the highway, then took our transportation to the garage. In the meantime, Domenico came to pick us up and we arrived in Reggio Calabria just in time. The screening room was packed. Some people even watched the entire film standing up, without complaining. After a warm embrace, we went back home. The screening was freely accessible, open to all, and allowed the collection of funds, on the initiative of the Trade Union of Base<\/strong>, to return the body of Soumaila Sacko<\/a><\/strong>, the migrant killed June 2 in San Calogero, to Mali.<\/p>\n

\nIn \u201cA Ciambra\u201d, a small Roma community on the outskirts of Gioia Tauro, Pio Amato is trying to grow as quickly as possible. At the age of fourteen, he drinks, he smokes and is one of the few who manages to integrate into the diverse realities of this place: at the same time Italians, African immigrants and the members of the Roma community.<\/em>[\/vc_hoverbox][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”809″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” title=”THURSDAY JUNE 14 \u2013 GREEK AMPHITHEATER, ROCCABERNARDA (KR)”][vc_column_text]\n

In collaboration with Culture in\u2026 Movimento<\/strong>, we have organized a screening and then the creation of a fresco by the Venezuelan artist Sara Fratini<\/strong><\/a>, through which she wanted to pay tribute to women and to multiculturalism. We were welcomed by the Roccabernarda<\/strong> community and we celebrated the end of Ramadan with Fatima and Yoko, young girls whom we met at the refugee center of Amantea, for the first edition of CinemAmbulante.<\/p>\n

Something really beautiful happened to us: to make a picture of the fresco that was of good quality, we needed a drone. So, we posted a message on Facebook asking if someone in the area could lend us this type of equipment. The Calabrian network exploded: Fernanda De Luca<\/a>\u00a0showed the post to Filly Pollinzi<\/a>\u00a0who wrote to Francesco Laterza<\/a>. The latter quickly shared and, in a few minutes, we were on the phone with Emanuele Lepera<\/a> who immediately came to take magnificent shots of the fresco with his drone. THE FRESCO:<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0I called this artwork\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0VECINAS\u00a0<\/strong>\u00bb (<\/em>neighbour, in english) because these women coexist in this amphitheater as residents would cohabit with refugees. As if they were lifelong friends. Since I had little time (a day and a half), I made simple lines and used the orange to emphasize the details.<\/em><\/p>\n

I especially wanted to represent multiculturalism and living together without being afraid of the other. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
